Fire and Ice 3-on-3 Tournament

Hello hockey players, family and fans!  The Mosinee Hockey Development Committee is excited to continue the 3-on-3 tournament for the 2021-2022 hockey season.  This is different from the 3-on-3 tournaments that you are used to, featuring fast-paced, exciting, full ice action.  The idea behind the full ice format is to allow players to utilize the open areas of the ice while allowing them to get into peak shape for the upcoming season.

Each team will be made up of 6 players and a goalie.  The games will be two 15 minute run-time periods.  There are no face-offs to allow the pace of the game to remain high (see attached registration for full rules).  Teams will be randomly chosen to allow equal ice time and skill levels across teams.

Registration is only $15 per player (due October 8th) and ages from squirt to high school are welcome.  We hope to see you the weekend of October 15th-17th and wish you luck on your upcoming seasons.

Summer Puck Shooting

Hello Mosinee Hockey Families,

The Hockey Development Committee (HDC) would like to invite your skater(s) to once again participate in the summer puck shooting challenge. See below for details.

The HDC also hopes we can once again offer some Summer Hockey Development activities. Stay tuned!

Puck Shooting Challenge

From June 1st until October 31st, Mite aged skaters can complete the challenge by shooting 5000 pucks.  Squirt through Bantam skaters can complete the challenge by shooting 10,000 pucks. Don’t forget to include plenty of back hand shots too.

To get started, print the Puck Shooting Log to track progress. The log is in PDF format below. The completed form can be turned into me, Troy Michalski, when you are finished. A picture/copy can be e-mailed to me at or placed in my mailbox at the rink. DUE no later than November 5th 2021!

Any skater who shoots their number of pucks will be awarded a prize and earn their spot in the Mosinee Puck Shooting Club. Like past years, we hope to hand out a lot of shooting prizes and recognize the shooters who participated this fall at the first home Papermaker game. Have a great summer and we will see you at the rink!

Thank You,

Troy Michalski and the Hockey Development Committee
